Acute, throbbing toothache

Severe, pulsing pain – especially at night or when biting down – often points to inflammation of the dental nerve. It usually does not resolve on its own.

Broken or knocked-out tooth

After a fall or sports accident, the first few minutes often decide whether a tooth or fragment can be preserved.

Until your appointment: handle the tooth only by the crown, do not scrub it, store it in a tooth rescue box or UHT milk, and call us immediately.

A dislodged restoration is usually not an acute pain emergency, but it should be treated promptly so the tooth underneath is not damaged.

Swelling with a feeling of pressure or pus indicates a bacterial infection and should be examined without delay.
